POSTAGE DISCOUNTS

Even though we are just about the cheapest provider on eBay, we still offer postal discounts! For UK Customers, each book after the first attracts a 50p postage discount providing items are paid for in one payment. This is automatically deducted at checkout. Our overseas customers still get the 50p deduction for each additional book, but this cannot be automated within eBay so you will have to request an amended invoice

EXTREME POSTAGE DISCOUNTS – UK ONLY

We think we are the first eBay bookseller offering this feature but now UK customers can buy an unlimited amount of books with a maximum postage of just £10. Unfortunately, eBay doesn’t allow this to be automated but if your invoice shows total postage of greater than £10, just e-mail us for an amended invoice and we will reduce it to £10. So once you reach this threshold, almost everything in stock is just £1 and no further postage!!! Items posted this way will be sent by courier and may take 4-6 dys to arrive

POSTAGE TIMES

We are only able to keep our postage costs this low by using a third party postal agent. It adds one day to our postage times but let’s be honest, you probably chose our item because it was so cheap!!

Please note that the days in the timetable below are WORKING DAYS only

Day One – Item leaves us in Ceredigion

Day Two – Item arrives in Bracknell and enters the Royal Mail system

Day Four – If the posties do their bit, this will be the day UK customers can expect their items

Day Five – CDs ONLY. Our CDs are stored off site so cannot actually be posted until day two. This means they run one day behind our books so UK customers can expect delivery today

Day Seven – Overseas books will start arriving today. Western Europe (Not Italy which seems to take forever) first, USA in a couple of days

Day Ten – Aussie books pretty close now if not already delivered

Day 15 – UK not arrived? Tell us. It’s insured and we can claim for the loss today and reimburse you

Day 20 – Overseas not arrived? You’re insured too and this is your claim day

Please remember, Royal Mail only deliver 86% of mail on the day they are supposed to. This means that 14% of mail is delayed beyond the normal. In our experience, around 2% is delayed by three or more days beyond the expected date.

NB If your order is UK and over 2Kg in weight, it will be travelling differently to the above. Please e-mail for details if the delivery date is important

OUR GRADING

There are so many different grading systems within the book selling world that we have invented our own!

LIKE NEW – Mint, Fine, Good enough as a present, just like you would find in a shop!

VERY GOOD – Very Good condition with no significant faults. Clearly used but very few minor defects. Likely to still look good on your bookcase after reading but probably not suitable as a present unless hard to find elsewhere

GOOD – Usual signs of a well read book but good overall condition. Not likely to look good on your bookcase after reading and not suitable as a present unless hard to find elsewhere

ACCEPTABLE – Major signs of wear and tear. Very well read. Reading copy only. Not for the collector but perfectly OK for the reader. Definitely not suitable as a present unless hard to find elsewhere
