This poster is an
original campaign poster created by the renowned activist/artist Shepard Fairey. It’s hand-numbered #888/5000.

Known previously for
his propaganda-style of art, this poster is from a series made for Barak Obama’s 2008
election campaign and became the most widely used graphic symbol of his candidacy.

I was a member of the
Obama campaign. I currently own
two of these and, current economic realities what they are, I’m hoping to sell this one
and be able to retain the other.

Size: (It’s BIG) 39.2 x 24.75 inches, or thereabouts – honestly, I was afraid to flatten it completely.

CONDITION:

These posters are
printed on RECYCLED fine art paper that is inherently soft and difficult to
handle. The posters were shipped
by campaign volunteers, not art professionals, and the slight bending and wear
that occurs along the edges is unavoidable, and simply a part of the piece’s
history. These flaws are slight and will NOT be visible after framing. Poster will be shipped rolled in heavy weight brown art-packing kraft roll to further protect the edges during shipping.

This piece has been in
roll & tube storage since 2008 and should be kept stored (not handled) or framed
immediately by careful professionals to retain maximum integrity. This particular poster has been unrolled only twice for very
careful inspection.

I have taken extensive
photos of the lower edge of the paper, so that you can see all of the markings
– there are campaign headquarters markings, as well as those of the printers,
and the OBEY (Shepard Fairey star) logo.

shipped in a heavy poster tube, using every possible means to protect it inside and out.I will refund in cash, any portion above $1 of shipping charges not actually used to ship the item.
